Two young inmates meet in prison: Yuexiang, who was convicted of distributing obscene videos, and Amei, a deaf-mute thief. The former knows sign language, so the guard puts her in charge of the latter. When the girls are released from prison at the same time, they try to start living honest lives, but it is not so easy for the ex-criminals.
