The early 2000s. Ksyusha comes to conquer Moscow with a five-year-old child in her arms - without money, connections or any prospects. There is no way back - she fled her hometown to escape her abusive husband. New friends help her to survive in the capital: diligent medical student Olya and flighty Masha, who dreams of marrying a foreigner and going abroad. Twenty years later, fate gives the friends another chance for happiness.
