An Italian man arrives in Russia by car and gives a pregnant woman a lift to his car as she is on her way to give birth in a hospital. Later, her husband catches up with them on a motorcycle and, having stuffed the motorcycle into the trunk, also climbs into the foreign car. When the hospital is only a few kilometers away, they realize that they will not make it there in time.
