Shakes, a clown, is completely disillusioned with his job and spends all his free time getting drunk. Shakes's boss threatens to fire him if he doesn't pull himself together, but soon the boss dies under mysterious circumstances, and to Shakes's surprise the evidence suggests that the killer is none other than himself.
