Savitri, a housewife, lives in Liverpool with her husband Nakul and son Adi. They lead a quiet life: Savitri takes care of the house and her husband works on a construction site. However, Nakul does not get along with his boss. One morning, the police arrest Nakul, accusing him of Stephanie's murder. All evidence and motive points to Nakul, and as a result he is found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. The couple's appeal is rejected due to lack of new evidence. As time passes, hopes of acquittal melt away. Savi faces financial difficulties and she is unable to find a job. She decides to organize her husband's escape from prison.
