The near future. The world has been struck by an unknown disease that turns people into marble statues. When young Alpha returns home from a party with a newly tattooed girl, her doctor mother realizes that her daughter may have been infected. Because of the possible disease, the girl becomes an outcast at school, and her mother tries with all her might to pull herself out of the abyss of fear. Together they will have to make a journey into the history of their family and cope with the challenges of the new world.
