San Francisco, early 1900s. A white woman is murdered in Chinatown, and a Chinese man becomes the main suspect. The crime causes widespread public outcry, and the citizens demand the closure of the Chinatown. Traditional Chinese medicine doctor Qin Fu and a Chinese-Indian hunter nicknamed A-Gui investigate the case.
