Even his neighbor Anya, who is fascinated by tarot and esotericism, laughs at his silly hobby. They quarrel and accidentally left a magic amulet revives characters from a collection of jokes. Now he has to deal with magic, find common language with Anya and help Vasily Ivanovich, New Russian, Vovochka, mother-in-law and Chukcha to return back to the "anecdotal world".
