Miron, a withdrawn schoolboy, has no friends, his parents constantly quarrel, and his grandfather is completely immersed in his own affairs. At school they make fun of him and do not want to play basketball because of his hearing aid. The parents decide to celebrate Grandpa's birthday in the village. Finding himself in his grandfather's house, Miron begins to suspect something wrong, and while his grandfather habitually bickers with his father, and his mother tries to level the conflict, Miron discovers a huge creature in the barn and immediately feels a kindred spirit in it.
