The king's squire Jiřík disobeys his king and tastes the meat of a magic snake, as a result of which he gains the ability to understand the language of animals. As a punishment, Jiřík is forced to embark on a long and dangerous journey together with his old friend Štěpan and the dog Štistek to find the mysterious Princess Goldilocks.
