Because of a long-standing feud, Superintendent of Police Arunagiri plans to kill former criminal mastermind Ravi and his son Kannan when they are apprehended. Ravi turns to his friend Kaali for help, but he has retired from criminal activities. Kaali now leads a family life, runs a grocery store and does not want to return to violence, but he has to agree to help Ravi to protect his family.
