Simon McNally is released from the psychiatric hospital where he has been for the last 10 years. The guy tries in vain to find a job and start his life with a clean slate, but suffers from constant seizures and hallucinations and takes medication. One day Simon witnesses the kidnapping of a girl, but the police do not believe him, and because of the seizure he can not describe the appearance of the kidnapper. With the support of his neighbor Ed Dearman, a retired campus security guard, he decides to find and rescue the girl on his own.
