Former policeman Jim gradually returns to normal life, battling alcoholism: in alcohol he drowned the grief of his wife's death. He is forced to revisit one of his past investigations after the murder of a wealthy woman. Jim needs to pull himself together, mend his relationship with his daughter and once again become the formidable detective he once was.
